There are few foods as vitamin B6-rich as pistachios. Vitamin B6 is critical for several bodily processes, including blood sugar control and the production of hemoglobin, a molecule that carries oxygen in red blood cells. Because of their high potassium content, pistachios are also a great source of this mineral. One ounce of pistachios has more potassium than half of a large banana. Despite the fact that pistachios contain a lot of antioxidants, they are one of the least well-liked nuts. Because of their high lutein and zeaxanthin content, pistachios are excellent for eye health.

Pistachio (shelled or unshelled) can stay fresh in a refrigerator or freezer for up to a year or three years, respectively. It’s important to store pistachios in airtight containers and refrigerators to maintain their freshness and texture.

Pistachio is primarily employed as a topping and embellishment for desserts and other baked goods. They are excellent for adding to smoothies and oatmeal. They can be ground into sauce or used to make butter in addition to other dried fruits and nuts.
